Why are Protestant denominations more intimidated by science than the Catholic church?

Because the Catholic Church's teaching is actually true, and guaranteed so by its founder, Jesus Christ. Truth cannot conflict with truth. Therefore if a church's teaching is actually true, it will not conflict with natural truths clearly revealed by science. We know that Protestant churches are teaching a great deal of untruth, simply because the teachings of each denomination conflict with the teachings of the others, and truth cannot conflict with truth. Therefore it should be no surprise that some of these false teachings conflict not only with the true teaching of the original Christian Church, but also with some of the natural truths revealed by science.
