Final fantasy xiv patching problems?

Ive installed the game and the in game updater isnt working, upon research i find out this is common, now people say to try and use torrents to download these files. i tried using the torrent method but the downloads just sit there as if there were no seeds. does anyone have these files up to date and is hosting them somewhere? please email me at pintzow62690@live.com if you play ffxiv and are willing to sit through this and help me.
