Should I try and become an American Citizen?

I've been to Florida and Boston on visits when I was 9-12, America seems ok, Would it be a good place to raise a familiy, I'm have an affection for the South with its Manners and absolute values, I live in Northern Ireland United Kindgom (I,m Protestant secular), and I think Europe as a whole is failing in its freedoms, what state should I move to in the USA
